Hi, I'm Teresa Perone, 49 years old, a qualified Beauty Therapist for over 30 years, founder of Pior Urban Spa / Pior Beauty and lover of all things Skin & Beauty!

From a young age, I was always interested in skincare, mainly because I just wanted to get rid of my acne, which led to makeup, as I had to find the right foundation to cover it up!

Everything changed for me when I went to my first Nutrimetics party.  At the age of 15, I became a consultant and started doing pamper parties from there, mainly to teach teens (like me at the time) the basics of skincare.

The basics are what helped me and to this day, it is something I am most passionate about. I love doing my Teen Pamper Workshops during the school holidays and educating them on how the skin works, how to use product, the correct amount and explaining the benefits.

After working in an accounting office as my primary occupation, I opened Pior Urban Spa just after my daughter was born in 2003, and renamed it when I moved into Adriana's Hair Salon 3 years ago.

As a qualified skin therapist since 1989, I have always loved talking about skin.  I thoroughly assess my client's skin, address their concerns and design treatment plans to combat Ageing, Acne, Sun damaged skin and more. I pride myself in being able to successfully teach my clients how to maintain healthy and better-looking skin and with Dermalogica Skin Care there are products for every skin type in their range. Dermalogica has amazing training and this is something I keep up, on a regular basis. I was one of the first to reach "Expert" status in WA. 

Weddings and Special Occasion Makeup is also another favourite part of my job! 

Ball makeup & Brides! Whether it be the facials, waxing, tanning etc, leading up to these events or just the transformation of what makeup can do and sharing that special time with someone. Talking about the dress, the shoes, the colour lipstick and also sharing discussions about the hair with Adriana and her staff, always makes me smile. It's a very exciting and emotional time for all of us in the salon, especially being a mum of a daughter who has gone through the process of her school ball.

My number one goal is for my clients to thoroughly enjoy their time in the beauty room, to feel completely relaxed and enjoy their treatment with me, from an eyebrow tint, to a facial, to painful waxing!
